About CodePier
CodePier is a desktop app and CLI for Kubernetes teams. We build the tool we always wanted: one window where you can edit your manifests, hot-swap into a pod, and ship to a cluster.
What we build
Shared manifests, per-environment overrides, Port Forwards, an Ingress Proxy with auto TLS, hot-swap with live file sync, a Manifest Editor with drift detection, Helm installs, cost visibility through OpenCost, and a built-in K8s assistant. All of it lives in one app your team can share.
Port Forwards
Pin any cluster Service to a local port and leave it there.
Pod Logs
Tail any pod or container with multiple streams open at once.
Hot-swap
codepier up swaps your laptop into a running deployment with live file sync.
Ingress Proxy
Cluster ingresses publish to .local hostnames with auto TLS.
Preview Environments
An isolated namespace for every pull request. Coming soon.
Releases
Snapshot your manifests and environment overrides as a tagged release and promote it forward.
Our story
We've been the people on the team who knew where the real kubeconfig was, which dashboard to open, and which terminal had the port-forward in it. CodePier is what that knowledge looks like when you put it all in one window. The cluster does the work; the app gets out of the way.
CodePier is in preview. This is only the beginning — there's a long list of things we want to improve and an even longer list of features we want to add. If you try it and something doesn't fit the way your team works, please tell us. File bugs and feature requests at github.com/codepier/codepier/issues, or email [email protected]. A human on our team reads every one.
